The concept for the 2017 version of the Variazioni’s brand identity has both simple and modern roots to it. From the design of the logo to the ideation of the merchandise, everything was planned to be, at the same time, easy to read and impacting.

An identity
with multiple
variations

There’s a limited edition version of the poster that has more graphic elements to it: these are used to create a visual and thematic connection with the festival, thanks to its shapes resembling the keys of a piano that are, according to the concert’s concept, a chromatic variation of the support on which they’re printed on (that has ideally been ripped off).

Simple and
effective like
an harmony

The real challenge with Variazioni was to design a brand that could not only fit the classical theme of the event, but also appeal and attract a wide range of people, from young-adults to seniors. This is the reason why everything in the merchandise’s visual is reduced to the minimum: just informative texts and a background color.
